leveling issues

hi, my hero sometimes level up 2 levels at a time, when he was supposed to gain just one. i mean he skips a level, but he only gets the same 5 points. and also i tried saving points from one level to the next and i didnt get new points, what means i leveled but didnt improve, so my char is gimped now, whith evnemy heroes escaling up to my level and getting all the points and all, is there a way to fix it. i´m lv 25, i didnt want to abando the char

Did you apply patch 0.8.6a? You can check your current version by looking in the bottom-left corner of the main menu screen.
