I have 18 lvl Chieftain Barbarian and warlords doesn't benefit from riding skill, only riders gets extra xp.

Looks like he wasn't tagged as cavalry in army.cfg. It's fixed in 0.8.7, but until then you can edit it yourself using an xcr tool. Open The Protectors/Assets/Data/System.xcr and edit army.cfg. Instead of LMA place LCA. I'll leave the topic open for awhile if you have any questions.
