Hi Patrick.

I'm looking for these modes to expand upon the gameplay options a bit and know that your mod uses it. How would I go about popping them into the original game patch: 1.03.24.

I've had a sniff around the game files but can't really pin point any place it could be defined. My current game doesn't seem to have a working option for Ironman mode, I select it, create the character, go back to the hero screen and the hero has disappeared!

I did check the herodata.xcr using an editor and that a few heroes are actually hidden away. Maybe this has something to do with the patch I'm using it.

On a side note, been watching you mod for some time now and it's great to see how the Protectors has evolved. Amazing commitment and work!

The hero not saved issue is well known. It happens at eronous installations over older versions. See: https://the-protectors.forumotion.com/t40-solved-hero-not-saved

The Iron, Bronze, Tin and Normal modes are hard-coded in the .exe file.

I see, so what is your recommendation?

If you want that feature added in unofficial versions you need to ask someone to mod that in. I am more than willing to share the source code with any NDA signers that are interested.

I see thank you Patrick. Unfortunately I'm not much of a coder otherwise I'd jump at the opportunity.
